Training on Alternate Poultry farming to Vulnerable women groups of Nagapattinam District (Skill Training) was conducted at Karuvelankadai village on 07.10.2021 and 08.10.2021 and also conducted at KVK, Nagapattinam on 16.10.2021 to 18.10.2021 respectively.
30 Nos. of women farmers were attended.
Celebrated National Campaign on Nutri-Garden and Tree Plantation Drive On 17.09.2021at KVK, Nagapattinam in the eve of International Year of Millets 2023 On 17.09.2021. Mr.M.Selvaraj, MP, Nagapattinam presided over the function.
151 participants including Anganwadi workers, school students and farmers were attended.
Training on Desi Bird Poultry Rearing conducted to RAFTEER Scheme beneficiaries from 13.09.2021 to 15.09.2021 at Department of Animal husbandry, Nagapattinam.
This training programme was given to 30 nos of the beneficiaries of the scheme.

A total of 28 trainees from various parts of Nagapattinam were benefitted.
Celebration of 93rd ICAR Foundation Day – Nationwide Tree Plantation Campaign and Virtual training program on Organic Vegetable Cultivation was organized in the KVK premises. 50 trees were planted and training on “Organic Vegetable cultivation” was conducted.
Totally 56 farmers were benefited
Celebrated National Fish Farmers day at the fish farm located at Andakudi on 09.07.21. Explained role of fish farmers in improving fish production and fish culture in the IFS which can double the farmer’s income.
Around 15 fish farmers from the district participated.
Organized “Farmers Awareness Program on Balanced use of fertilizers” on 18.06.2021 at KVK, Nagapattinam through virtual mode. Emphasized the current need of balanced use of fertilizer in soil health and agricultural production.
Guest lecture on Nano Urea application technology was provided. 23 nos. of farmers and 23 nos. of Extension personnel were attended
