Celebration of 93rd ICAR Foundation Day – Nationwide Tree Plantation Campaign and Virtual training program on Organic Vegetable Cultivation was organized in the KVK premises. 50 trees were planted and training on “Organic Vegetable cultivation” was conducted.
Totally 56 farmers were benefited
Celebrated National Fish Farmers day at the fish farm located at Andakudi on 09.07.21. Explained role of fish farmers in improving fish production and fish culture in the IFS which can double the farmer’s income.
Around 15 fish farmers from the district participated.
Organized “Farmers Awareness Program on Balanced use of fertilizers” on 18.06.2021 at KVK, Nagapattinam through virtual mode. Emphasized the current need of balanced use of fertilizer in soil health and agricultural production.
Guest lecture on Nano Urea application technology was provided. 23 nos. of farmers and 23 nos. of Extension personnel were attended
Celebration of World Milk Day organized at KVK, Nagapattinam on 01.06.2021 through webinar. In this programme, Training on Value addition of Milk and Clean milk production technologies has been explained.

Training programme on Bee keeping and Celebration of World Bee day 2021 organized at KVK, Nagapattinam through Online mode on 20.05.2021. In this programme importance of World bee day celebration was explained and technical training was given to the farmers.

Training cum demonstration on Hygienic Dry fish Production in PPP mode was conducted on Hygienic Dry fish Production using Solar Dryer in PPP mode during 03.05.2021 – 07.05.2021 at KVK, Nagapattinam.
11 nos. of women SHG members were participated and benefited.
A Successful technology- Black Gram (VBN 8) –CFLD on Rabi Pulses. ICAR-KVK, Nagapattinam was conducted Cluster Frontline Demonstration on Rabi Pulses using Black gram VBN 8 variety in 20 hectare area at 50 nos. of farmers field during 2020-21.
Black gram VBN 8 was successfully cultivated in Rice fallow season during 2021.

8th Scientific Advisory Committee meeting was conducted at the KVK, Sikkal, Nagapattinam on 03.03.2021. Dr. G. Sugumar, Vice Chancellor, TNJFU inaugurated the programme.

Incubator distribution to beneficiaries under LEDP- Training on Alternate poultry farming sponsored by NABARD. 150 Nos. of farmers benefited from 5 nos. of villages viz., Pappakovil, Karuvelankadai, Sikkal, Thevur and Kutramporuthan iruppu.
50 nos. of day old Japanese quail chicks were given to each farmer and 4 nos. Mini Japanese quail incubator were given to the active groups
